Chest Patch Lineage 2 Forum

Lol k i love beating the horse to death again but let me say that running a private server on an old chronicle isn't even close to what Classic is about.Classic is much more hardcore then the original was except for the fact it already has l2store, go try it out on Innova's versions to see if you can handle it as imo 90% of current western players just don't have the needed mentality to pull it off (funny enough Russians do have the needed mind set to make it work).Korea has only 2 Classic servers so yeah great successread more on Classic:Edited December 20, 2017 by Draeckefix typo. Draecke is simply pointing out the objective reality. Lineage 2 Classic originally had 1/6 rates for exp/SP and drops, Innova later adjusted this for the Western carebears to 1/3 as compared to the original Chronicles. Don't deceive yourself - you will get exactly those 1/3 rates.

You will get exactly the same pay-to-win L2Store like all other territories which have Lineage 2 Classic. You will be mercilessly milked to death. And those private server players will stay exactly as long as it takes them to realize that the content of Lineage 2 Classic has absolutely nothing to do with the early Chronicles. This is what Lineage 2 Classic is about:If you don't believe the people who follow developments in the territories which already have Lineage 2 Classic, simply go to Skelth and try it out for yourself. Laby from Rochand, who is actively playing there, can tell you how to make an account. The problem about the Lineage 2 Classic discussion is that the fans operate with false information, suggesting that that game has anything to do with the early Chronicles of Lineage 2.

This must be corrected, not to mention that Gabe guy who is free-form fantasizing.I rarely had such a good laugh on these forums. (NCsoft doesn't give out licenses to random investors but only to established video game publishers like Innova or Tengxun with a track record of many years. If Gabe and his fictional investors ever contacted NCKorea they certainly didn't get any answer but were simply ignored). We could try out the Classic and maybe Transfer to core/Ramona(possible Nerf on some Items before the sale/transfer) as it is even Chronos isn't REALLY in a NA time zone. With the sale all servers would be in 1 Time zone so Dimensional Raid/Siege would be less complicated.

And Olympiad could be cross-server too.Edited January 1, 2018 by SAXnVl0LlNS. NCsoft would indeed have to sell both the regular version of Lineage 2 and Lineage 2 Classic together. When you go to the Lineage II folder in the C:programs(x86)NCSOFT section on your computer, you will see that it contains the Classic files. There is only one unified client, you can't separate the two versions of Lineage 2. (This is another reason why Gabe's claim of having tried to get a license for Classic is so hilarious). But this most probably will never happen, for several reasons:1. At the moment NCsoft needs all the revenue it can get to finance the transformation of the company into a mobile game provider. The developers that are being hired here will be drawing a salary for several years until they start to generate a revenue:Then there is the problem with NCWest's very own mobile studio in Northern California.

Those guys are now more than one year behind schedule, with not even an announcement about Beta Tests:Hundred American men and women having to eat every day.2. Of course there will be a point where L2@NCWest won't generate enough revenue any more to pay Neutron's salary (he is the only employee at NCWest who works exclusively on Lineage 2, the rest are multi-purpose staff dividing their time between several NCWest titles). This has happened before with Tabula Rasa, Exteel, City of Heroes and MxM. Games being shut down is a regular procedure at NCWest.

But a game being shut down means that it isn't profitable any more, and why should Innova, Snail Games or whoever buy a game that doesn't even generate the salary of one man? None of the NCsoft games that have been shut down in the past have been purchased by an other company.3., etc. Are pure distributors, they don't have development departments of their own. Even if we say that Lineage 2 has arrived at a dead end and that there will be no more updates, fixing bugs will require them to hire highly qualified developers who can find their way around the ancient code in the L2 server files. Even if they were willing to expand into proper game development, they certainly wouldn't start with a totally wrecked game like Lineage 2.

The first-line ticket takers at Zendesk have indeed no idea about the games they are servicing. When you look at the staff pictures about halfway down here you will notice that three out of four are very young, possibly students trying to earn some money in the evening hours:The proper NCsoft GMs, however, have been around for quite some time. I remember for example GM Raphael from before the game went free-to-play. The problem is really that nowadays nobody is specialized any more. It simply takes time to keep up with developments, and if you have to deal with Aion in one minute and with Lineage 2 five minutes later, there simply isn't the time to check on the NCKorea Overseas Department's message board whether for example Japan or Taiwan have already reported a randomized spawn time for or Antharas. Then there is the leadership problem. The Manager at the NCWest Support Department is now Vali, whom you will maybe remember from the days when he was still Community Manager for Lineage 2.

He wasn't a very active moderator back then, letting discussions get completely out of hand, and as for trying to get any game-related information out of him - such attempts were doomed from the beginning. He clearly didn't improve his ways since his promotion.

Having a smurf as boss can be severely demotivating, bringing down a whole department. That's what obviously happened in Aliso Viejo.Edited January 1, 2018 by Yidao.
